Welcome to team 5516 Iron Maple from China, who needed a space to build their robot and we welcomed into the school! Two days later - Canadian Pacific Regionals! Despite many setbacks, the team performed admirably, and came out 8th out of 36 international teams, and was the 6th seeded alliance captain heading into the semi-finals.
Not much happened with FTC Provincials during this time, but as soon as we got back, we pushed on!
Getting the intake working with the shooter was no mean feat! The robot weighed in over 100 lbs and the C of G shifted quite a bit during operation...
We finally got down to business with our FRC robot, we got our shooter working consistently and we developed a working intake mechanism. Additionally, we started implementing our autonomous programming, which will come in handy. We can't wait for FRC Regionals!
We put FRC on the backburner this week with FTC Qualifiers coming up, but we've still managed to CAD out a design and begin production on our note launcher.
We're just getting into the thick of it. With a rough design idea fleshed out we're working on realizing our ideas. Our drive base is almost completed and we're starting to create the more complex mechanisms.
This week we began prototyping our new FRC robot! With competition season coming up our team was exited to get working. We are currently working on our swerve base and programming.
This past week was busy with the FTC Qualifier tournament at St. Margaret's University School, but we still managed to squeeze in some FRC build.
