Our team is involved in community outreach and volunteering by meeting with local engineering firms and businesses, hosting programming workshops, assistaing with waterway cleanups, visiting local middle schools, volunteering for community events and donating to local charities.
September 2025 - January 2026
Robotics team members mentor students in FIRST LEGO League Explore and Challenge at a local feeder elementary school, introducing younger learners to robotics, teamwork, and problem-solving. Through weekly guidance, they help students design, build, and program their robots while encouraging curiosity and confidence in STEM. The program creates a supportive pathway for younger students to discover robotics and develop skills that will grow with them.

We led a workshop and set up a booth to demonstrate to local educators how FIRST LEGO League can be integrated into classrooms to enhance STEM learning. Our students guided teachers through programming robots and designing simple challenges that connect directly to curriculum topics. By sharing their experience, students helped equip teachers with practical tools to bring hands-on robotics and coding into everyday learning.
January 23, 2026
Our students delivered a presentation to the local Rotary Club highlighting their work in robotics and community outreach. Inspired by the impact of student-led STEM initiatives, the club made a donation to support the Victoria Hand Project, helping expand access to low-cost prosthetic devices. The presentation demonstrated how youth involvement in robotics can connect technology, service, and community impact.

Our students showcased their work at Discover Tectoria, demonstrating how competitive robotics builds real-world STEM skills. Visitors and local companies had the chance to see our robot in action, learn about the engineering and programming behind it, and talk directly with students about their experiences in FIRST robotics. The event helped us connect with the local tech community while inspiring younger students to explore science and technology.

Our students visited Rainhouse to see how their digital designs are transformed into high-precision parts using advanced industrial machinery. They learned the importance of "designing for manufacturing," discovering how professional engineers balance material choice, exact measurements, and rigorous testing to turn a prototype into a reliable, real-world machine.
